1.  Artwork Guidelines

For Silkscreen Process, send a grey-scale/rgb/cmyk digital file (see below).

For Multi/Full-Color TIP® Process, send a rgb/cmyk digital file (see below), and PMS "C" color(s) for reference.

Note:  All artwork file(s) sent must be in digital format and "Production-Ready", i.e. no modification or touch up of any kind is required.  If artwork requires typeset, clean up, adjustment or change, addition art charge will be applied.  Graphics service is charged at $75 (v) per hour, with a $25 (v) minimum.

In order for us to produce the best possible imprint quality, artwork submitted needs to conform to the following industry-standard guidelines:
 

File Format
and Resolution

  • For vector EPS files, make sure all fonts are converted to outlines, all high-resolution rastered images are embedded, and all colors are specified in Pantone "C" number. 

    Note: Art files with non-outlined fonts are not acceptable.
     

  • For rastered/bitmap EPS, TIF or PSD files, the minimum image resolution is true 300 dpi (with higher resolution preferred), at 100% of the intended image printing size.  Files can be compressed using JPEG format (set at compression quality of 10 or above), or with a standard commercial-grade compression program (such as Winzip or Stuffit).  Other graphics formats, such as GIF, PNG, BMP, PCX, PICT, etc., are not suitable for quality print production and are not acceptable.

    Note: Rastered/bitmap art files that are "converted" from low resolution to high resolution by pixel multiplication only are not acceptable.
     

  • For Adobe PDF, the distiller resolution on which the PDF is generated, must be set to "Press Quality" or with an embedded resolution specification of 300 dpi or better for both text and image.

    Note: All other graphics formats will not be supported and they must be first converted to one of the above acceptable formats prior to submission.

Color Specification

  • For artwork with spot colors, please specify all colors in Pantone "C".
  • For artwork with gradient or photographic image, please specify the dominant colors in Pantone "C".

Transmission

  • By e-mail to art@timecal.com.  For larger files with file size of 5MB and over, contact us for FTP transmission setup.
  • On CD/DVD (note: media will not be returned).

  2.   Order Acknowledgment
All orders are subject to our acceptance and will be acknowledged via fax, within two (2) working days from receipt.

3.  Paper Proofs / eProofs
A paper proof will be sent at no extra charge via fax, together with an order acknowledgment; additional paper proofs will be billed at $12.50 (v) each.  On orders with TIP® printing, an eProofSM will also be sent; additional eProofSM will be billed @ $25 (v) each.

4.  Pre-production Proofs and Spec Samples
All pre-production proofs, when specified as part of the production order, will be billed at $45 (v) plus the order cost of the item in addition to the normal production costs and charges. 
A spec sample order will be treated as a production order for one piece, with all the normal setup charges applied; the unit cost will be billed at the listed minimum quantity cost (r).

5.  Random Samples
All evaluation samples are charged at end quantity pricing (r) plus shipping, on a 30-day debit memo.  Credit for samples, excluding shipping charge, will be issued only if they are returned in good and resalable conditions within 30 days.

6.  Imprint Colors
For silkscreen process, we will print as close to any Pantone "C" spot color as possible without incurring a charge; for an exact PMS spot color match, add $25 (v) per color.  For multi/full-Color TIP® Process, exact PMS color match is not available.

 7.  Normal Production Leadtime and Rush Services

CLOCKS, CALCULATORS and DIGITAL WATCHES
Normal Leadtime:  2 to 3 weeks after order approval.
Standard Rush (within 6 working days after approval): add 25% (v) of invoice amount excluding shipping charge.
Super Rush (within 3 working days after approval): add 50% (v) of invoice amount excluding shipping charges.

WATCHES (excluding Digital Watches)
Normal Leadtime:  3 to 4 weeks after order approval.
Standard Rush (within 2 weeks after approval): $3 (v) per watch.
Super Rush (within 1 week after approval): $5 (v) per watch.

Note:  Due to production capacity and scheduling limitations, please check with us before placing rush order.

8.  Less-Than-Minimum Quantity
For orders with a quantity less than the listed minimum quantity, the listed minimum quantity cost (r) will be applied, with a less-than-minimum (LTM) charge of $25 (v) added.  The absolute minimum order quantity is half of the listed minimum quantity.  

Note: Men's and ladies' watches of the same style are considered separate models and are subjected to LTM charge separately.

9.  Repeat Orders
On Silkscreen process, there will be a repeat order setup charge of $30 (v) per color/location for re-orders placed within 12 months of the original order for the same item and imprint.  For re-orders placed more than 12 months from the last exact order, new setup charges will apply.

On multi/full-Color TIP® Process, there will be a repeat order setup charge of $45 (v) per artwork for re-orders placed within 24 months of the original order for the same item and imprint.  For re-orders placed more than 24 months from the last exact order, new tooling setup charges will apply.

10.  Shipment Acceptance
The customer shall inspect all goods immediately upon receipt of shipment, and shall provide written notice within 15 calendar days from the date of goods receipt of any non-conformity to the order; no claims will be considered or honored after the 15-day period.

11.  Packaging
All products are individually gift packaged unless stated otherwise.

12.  Warranty
All of our analog quartz watches are covered by a limited warranty of three years; all other products are covered by a limited warranty of one year.  The limited warranty covers defective materials and workmanship only, and does not include wear-and-tear, battery or damage due to mis-use/abuse.

13.  Shipping Method
All orders are shipped FOB factory, New Jersey.  Standard shipping is by "Fedex Express Saver" service or by ground service from a common carrier of our choice unless otherwise specified.  Prepaid shipping and insurance charges are added to the invoice.

14.  Split Destination
Available at an additional cost of $5 (V) per address plus shipping charges.

15.  Payment Terms
Net 30 days for credit-approved accounts; deposits or prepayments are required on all new accounts and non credit-approved accounts.

16.  Over-run/Under-run
Our policy is to ship exact quantities. However, we reserve the right to over- or under-ship up to 5% of the quantity ordered

17.  Product Availability And Changes
All products are generally available but may change due to changing conditions in international manufacturing and importation.  All orders are subject to availability of stock on-hand, and will be confirmed in our order acknowledgment.

18.  Price Changes
We will take all efforts to maintain published prices. However, due to various factors,  such as material cost and currency exchange fluctuations, prices and production charges are subject to change without advanced notice.  All prices in orders submitted are not binding unless confirmed in our order acknowledgments.

19 Government Regulatory Delay Disclaimer
All imported shipments have to clear US Customs and Homeland Security inspections.  We do allow for this in our leadtime; however, we will not be responsible for late shipping resulting from regulatory delays or any other conditions beyond our reasonable control. 

20.  Cancellations And Returns
All orders are binding and cannot be canceled without our written authorization.  For cancellation of an order in process, the customer will be responsible for all the expenses incurred on the order up to the point of our acceptance in writing of the cancellation.  Minimum order cancellation charge is $25 (v).  All shipments are to be inspected within 15 days of receipt; any dispute or claim regarding the shipment has to be brought forth within this 15-day period after which no return or adjustment will be considered.

21.  Transit Damage Claims
All claims resulting from merchandise damaged in transit will be the responsibility of and will be filed by the consignee.
